Day 4 Challenge: Hopefully, you have discovered at least one or two superpowers that you have. They could even be something that you didn’t know existed until now! I want you to write down what these are and how these superpowers will help you to realise

My superpowers, I like the idea of this as it taps into my love of superhero movies and the like. I am a superhero! Finding my superpowers however is not an easy thing, you always find it hard to see the best in yourself but can often see these things in others.
This challenge actually stumped me, I was really struggling how to work out my superpowers. I know what I love to do and think I know what I am good at but have never felt like they were superpowers. Like most people I am not a huge fan of talking about myself in a positive light, we can always pick on the negatives we see in ourselves but not the positive. But I pushed through and in my post quitting sugar haze got the three below superpowers.

Kindness and empathy to others

I always act from a place of kindness and have a strong connection to emotions and understanding of emotions, both my own and those around me. This can sometimes lead to being used as a doormat because I am not one to push back as it may hurt someone’s feelings. It has also led to periods of my life that have a shadow over them when I think of memories of that time as I had taken on other people’s negativity as my own and it warped my view and myself.

Writing and ability to express things through the written word

I am an extremely verbal person, but in the written word I cannot do the same thing out loud. I have gotten better at speaking up and saying what I fee but overall I do better in writing that in vocalising things. I can put a million thoughts, feelings and ideas down on paper (both physical and digital) in the most in depth and explained way. In fact, I often joke in my day job, where writing is a minor part of my role but still part of it, I overwrite when given writing to do. I often use 100 words when 10 probably would do for others, but I just feel there is too much that needs to be said! Really nothing is that important but I can’t help it, as you can see by how much I have written here.
I can’t think of any other things that could be considered superpowers as everything I think of could very well fall under either of the above two. I can explain things quite well, even complicated subjects, I listen well and take on board feedback that is given. I can offer advice to friends or family in need about any subject they choose to confide in me about. I have a hugely strong work ethic that can sometimes be to my detriment as I am not one to take days off work often, even when feeling unwell I will often push through. All my biggest assets when it comes to skills fall under either of those two superpowers.
I plan to use a combination of both to help me create my freedom lifestyle, with writing as my conduit for me to help others with my kindness and empathy. In turn, I would like my impact on these people to then lead to an impact on the world as a whole by adding a little bit more kindness in the world.
